VIlLA CAVRoIS - HISTOrICAL MoNUMENT

The ‘Centre des Monuments Nationaux’ and Carpet Society have carried out meticulous research and reconstruction work. The only existing traces of the three original carpets were old black and white photos and Robert Mallet-Stevens’s architectural plans. Based on these documents, the Carpet Society team recreated the carpets, which were identical in size and pattern; the colour scheme was based on photographic gradations of black, white and grey.
