Pernille Picherit loves pure lines in architecture, the interplay between light and shadow, the repeated detail that catches the eye, that sometimes seems uninteresting but actually makes the difference in understanding what we are looking at, that creates or underlines an atmosphere.
It’s a story of lines and curves, a memory of a marine horizon and a sea bubbling with impatience, a look at architecture and nature that the artist invites us to share in this collaboration. Pernille Picherit plays with these features that are so dear to her, experimenting with a colour palette that juxtaposes warm and cold, between power and softness… and with artistic boldness deconstructs her motif so that it escapes the conventional framework of the carpet.
